D-Star at the Blackpool Rally!

The recent Blackpool radio rally was a hive of D-Star promotional activity with two stands featuring real-time D-Star demonstrations of simultaneous digital speech and data transfer.

Paul, G1DVA, Warrington Amateur Radio Club (WARC) displayed his custom D-Star data demonstration application.

Paul's D-Star demo was used to send text messages, via
D-Star transceivers, from the main hall D-Star stand to the WARC stand, by the entrance to the rally. On the WARC stand a dynamic web page was used to display the text message content that had been created by attendees to the main hall D-Star stand.

GM0OPS, GM1FML and G6OCD provided D-Star equipment demonstrations and advice for rally attendees in the main hall.
