First in OZ. 1902 N.Stubblefield first ship to shore wireless telephone broadcast. 1904 First colour picture in Daily Illustrated Mirror, New York. 1909 Einar Dessau of Denmark radios to a govt radio post 10 Km away. This is believed to have been the first broadcast by a ham operator. 1910 Harry Houdini makes Australia's first powered flight in Victoria. 1916 Anzac Corps lands in France, WW1.
