'Workers vote for strikes at Airwave over redundancies'

On Tuesday, we carried a report from ComputerWeekly.com which said that nearly 200 workers at Airwave had voted to strike over compulsory redundancies at the company.

A spokesperson from Airwave has since contacted us with the following clarification of the situation:

"Only 104 ballot papers were received by CWU.
Of this number, 79 people voted for strike action.

"The total number of Airwave workers who voted 'yes' for strike action equates to just over 9% of the total Airwave workforce."
