Amateur radio Grassroots Grants success

Substantial grants are available for Amateur Radio clubs from a number of sources.

One is the Grassroots Grants scheme and Brian G3YKB has sent us details of his achievement in getting grants for two Amateur Radio clubs.

He writes:

In January I made two applications to the Grassroots Grants scheme for training funds - one for the Verulam Club and one for the Radio Society of Harrow. Both applications were successful (about £4,500 each).

The scheme is administered locally - the applications went to Hertfordshire for Verulam and NW London for Harrow - and it still has two years to run.

If anyone wants to give it a go, try a Google on "Grassroots Grants" to find your local funding office. Each area seems to have their own application form but the questions are similar.

Under the terms of the grants, I am unable to offer details of the answers used in my applications.
