1872 Samual Morse dies in New York aged 81.

1880 The first electric street lights installed by a municipality Wabash, IN.

1889 The Eiffel Tower opened for the Paris Exposition.

1921 Formation of the Australian Air Force, 'Royal' added 31 Aug 1921.

1995 US Coast Guard last Morse message ending over 100 years of use.
