RSGB submission on 24-29GHz Automotive Radar

The Radio Society of Great Britain submitted a paper to the working group looking at proposals for unrestricted Short Range Radar (SRR) across 24-29 GHz which includes the Primary Amateur and Amateur Satellite Service 24 GHz allocation.

The first meeting of the Frequency Management Working Group (WG FM) Project Team FM47 was held in Copenhagen from 26 – 27 March 2009.

The summary of the RSGB paper says:
"RSGB and other national Amateur Radio Societies find ETSI TR 102 664 for new unrestricted SRR at 24-29GHz (SRR26G) has the potential for far greater harmful interference to the Primary Allocation of the Amateur and Amateur Satellite Service at 24.0-24.05GHz than the current SRR24G and provide comments to FM47 for Impact Assessments and Compatibility Studies"
