Radio interview with radio ham Bert Walsh GI4RY

A recording of the 1981 BBC Ulster show 'Up Country' with Radio Amateur Bert Walsh GI4RY who helped build the Titanic is now available on the web

It was broadcast on February 7, 1981 and the original recording was made on a C60 cassette tape. That has now been run through Audacity to equalise and clean it up a bit before producing the MP3 at 64kbps.

Bert Walsh GI4RY was a keen and active Radio Amateur and was first licenced as 2IT. He passed away in 1984 at the age of 94 and had remained active on-the-air until a few months before his death.
