Morse code operator Harry Carpenter SK

Harry Carpenter passed away on March 20 aged 84.
While his career as a boxing commentator is well known, few realise he started out as a Morse code operator.

The Scotsman newspaper recalls that during World War II Harry served as a Morse code operator with the Royal Navy.
