Ofcom - New PublicationsThe UK regulator Ofcom has released reports dealing with Digital Terrestrial and Long Term Evolution (LTE) handsets. Measurements on the future impact of Long Term Evolution handsets on Digital Terrestrial TV receivers. Ofcom has published a report by Cobham Technical Services, measuring the impact of Long Term Evolution mobile handsets operating in the 800MHz band on Digital Terrestrial TV receivers. The results tentatively indicate that the impact is likely to be small and where necessary, will be easily mitigated. It models how, in principle, two Digital Terrestrial TV multiplex networks could be accommodated in the 600 MHz band following the clearing of channels 61-69 in the UK.
