Projecto NavPT

Projecto NavPT was created in June of 2009, for two enthusiastic ones of aviation, telecommunications and computer science - computer software.

The system is composed for software and the hardware, where they are monitored: civil aviation, (airplanes), maritime boats (boats) and radiosondes meteorological in real time in Lisbon - Portugal.

The hardware source is composed for antennas, scanners, rotors of azimuth and rise and amplifiers that are responsible for the capture of the signals emitted by each one of these areas.

The colectados data are sent for a data base in SQL through one middleware where they are read in real time for the site.

This site uses the Google Maps API to present the information in the map and also it shows to some information on the airplanes and boats, as for example: identification, images, year of construction, dimensions of the boats, pair where it goes etc.

Using the Google Earth plugin, in the case of the aircraft, we can have the vision of the pilot from the interior of the aircraft in the sequência of one determined flight in 3D.

Since the creation of the site, already we count on more than 200 000 visits of all the world and daily have about 80 users on-line permanently hardwired. It has a series of future plans, mainly extending for the Europe the covering of air traffic.
