Digital conversion of analogue amateur TV equipment

Some New Zealand Radio Amateurs have been taking advantage of a bulk purchase scheme to convert their old analogue TV transmitters to digital.

In NZART Infoline Issue 200, Branch 74, The Wellington VHF Group Incorporated, invited members to take advantage of a bulk purchase scheme of equipment for Digital Amateur Television (DATV).

As a result of this scheme, four sets of DATV transmitting equipment, three sets of DATV receiving equipment, and a variety of DATV test equipment, were ordered.
The equipment will be despatched to purchasers in the next few days.

Branch 74 thanks all the members who participated in the scheme.

Branch 74 hopes to have several working DATV systems on display at the Lower Hutt-Wellington Expo 2010 on Saturday the 27th of March.
