Amateur radio repeater abuse as an 'art form'

Rob Mannion G3XFD, Editor of Practical Wireless is looking for a video copy / nformation about the BBC2 Arena programme – hosted by Joan Bakewell – when it featured Amateur Radio repeater abuse as an 'Art Form'.

Rob says, "This programme, broadcast early in the 1990s (I think) featured the equipment of an individual who was based in the West Midlands of England.

"I think it also showed the tape recorders and the tune 'Whose afraid of the big bad Wolf' tune dubbed with the words, "Who's afraid of the DTI' and explanations of how the recordings were used. This tune was familiar to many mobile operators as it appeared on several repeaters.

"I actually had a recording of it on VHS cassette in my collection of broadcast programmes featuring Amateur Radio – but unfortunately it's been lost.

"If anyone can help me to find a copy of this broadcast, I would be most interested".

regards
