Enigma settings revealed

The Scarborough Special Events Group has now posted the settings used to encipher the Enigma machine during the GB2HQ event on its website.

Anyone who correctly intercepted the enciphered message that was transmitted on 7 May can now decipher the text using the keys contained in the message preamble and by following the step-by-step instructions.

The closing date for applications for the Enigma award will be 1 July, following which the transmitted message will be published, along with the plain text tribute to the amateur radio Voluntary Interceptors of World War Two.
