MORI poll of UK amateurs gets underway

It looks like the MORI poll commissioned by Ofcom is now underway.

The following from Darren GW7HOC/MW5HOC.

73 Trevor M5AKA

An interesting thing happened this morning.
My wife, MW3YKL, received a survey from MORI. Questions are generally about if she knew of the consultation, how did
she know about it, will she respond? It then goes onto the renewal, and time scales etc, then onto how much the licence should be.

Next are questions about how long she has been licenced and if she is a member of any radio clubs or societies.
Next are personal questions. Age group, location, internet access etc. Last of all is an "any comments" section.

My wife has been licenced for about 4 weeks and she gets a
questionaire. I've been licenced for 15 years and hold 2 callsigns, so far nothing. I wonder how MORI pick who is going to get the survey.

Has anyone else received one yet?

My wife may have only been licenced for a few weeks, but she's been very involved in the hobby for as long as I have. She's my logger in contests, she helps with all my antenna work, she was treasurer of my club for many years. Her "less than 1 year" answer won't be that typical for most "newbies" :)

I hope that the results of this survey are made public. It will make interesting reading.
