Canadian schools linked by amateur radio with Mount Everest expeditionAmateur radio made it possible in April 2005 to link students at participating RAC Youth Education Project schools across Canada with the Kanatek Expedition at Mount Everest base camp. Students at schools from coast to coast had their mountain climbing questions answered by Professor Sean Egan, of the University of Ottawa, as he stood outside his tent in the early morning light at Mount Everest base camp. dream to reach the summit of Mount Everest, Sean succumbed to the frailties
of life and died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Friday, April 29th
2005. A team hoping to summit Everest in May is taking a small passport
