Rare WAB square operation

Members of the Brickfields Amateur Radio Society on the Isle of Wight will be operating from the very rare WAB Square SZ28 on Sunday 8 May, weather permitting.

The station will be on the air from approximately 10.00am to 4.00pm using the callsign GX0BAR/P.

The station is located at grid reference SZ298845, the Needles Old Battery, close to the Needles Lighthouse and Alum Bay where Marconi carried out a number of his early experiments across water.
