The Smallwood Trophy

For over forty years, the Society of Newfoundland Radio Amateurs (SONRA) has been the custodian and administrator of the Smallwood Trophy, which is awarded to the top-scoring Newfoundland and Labrador entrant in ARRL Field Day (FD) each year.

The original Smallwood Trophy has served us well for forty years, but it has seen better days. A new trophy has been built to replace the original and will be on permanent public display, with a memorial plaque provided to each year's winner annually starting in 2005.

Any person or organization purporting to represent the original Smallwood Trophy since March 31, 2001 (when it was not returned to the Club), is doing so without authority and against the wishes of SONRA
