VE0 callsigns are 'kosher'

Jim Dean, VE3IQ the Radio Amateurs of Canada Vice President Regulatory Affairs has advised Chris VK2UW that VE0 calls ARE 'kosher' when heard originating from the South Pacific.

Amateurs who sail in international waters may obtain a VE0 call sign for their boats. VE0 call signs are not used ashore.

To use the HF bands below 30 MHz the holder of the VE0 call sign must have the Basic and Morse Qualifications.
