BAA Radio Astronomy Group:
Circular Volume 1 Number 3 published
I am very pleased to announce the publication of volume 1, number 3 of
the RAG Circular. It is available for download now at www.britastro.org/radio
Note that there are two PDF file sizes. In response to many requests,
I have tried to keep the file size low. This does result in poorer image
quality, so if you possibly can cope with the larger size of download,
go for the larger file!
Those of you on subscription should receive a printed copy in about two
weeks' time, BT Reprograhics permitting! I have also put our latest flyer
for download, which may be useful to some of you to 'spread the word'.
It is a single high quality A4 page.
The Circular contains much of the latest news, so I won't repeat myself
here, except to remind you that this Saturday, May 13th, we are having
our next technical development team meeting. If there is anything you'd
like us to discuss, please let me know asap. We will let you know the
outcome of the meeting, at which we hope to finalise many of the outstanding
issues of the Starbase project.
We still do not have a download counter on the website, so we don't know
how many Circulars are downloaded. Please let me know if you have any
problems, or wish to make a comment of any kind about the content or presentation.
We really do try to 'continuously improve'! We have now sold nearly 100
Circulars and nearly 50 CD-ROMs, which can't be bad!
A note that was omitted - John McKay has some 50V high current PSUs available
to members. If you are interested, let John or myself know.
The next date on the RAG calendar is the BAA Exhibition Meeting at The
Cavendish Labs, Cambridge, on June 24th.
