Australian Fox Hunting Championships

It's on again, the South East Radio Group's Convention on the Queen's Birthday long weekend - 10th and 11th June 2006.

It will be held in the Mount Gambier Scout Hall, Margaret St, Mt Gambier.

The SERG Convention hosts the Australian Fox Hunting
Championships and we're looking forward to the friendly competition.

As well as the usual trade displays we're planning a Partners'
Bus Trip on the Sunday - the destination is a mystery, but, as they say at Flemington, "Fasten your money belts". Seriously, we're going on a tour of the lakes, the Nangula Market near Millicent, then Penola and the Coonawarra to sample the delights of the South East. A modest charge of $10 will apply for the bus.

The first foxhunting event begins at lunch time Saturday with a sniffer hunt, next, a distance based fox hunt and then the famous "Night Fox Hunt" where anything is possible and usually happens.

Trade tables are open from midday Saturday. On Sunday, fox hunts, buying and selling and the home brew competition are features. There are always excellent prizes to be won in the Home Brew Competition for winners in the three categories and we encourage people to break out those new and old projects for sharing.

Catering as usual by Dr. Kev's Cuisine assisted by his bevy of lovely ladies.

Following the presentations at 4.30pm Sunday a barbeque will be held at the SERG clubrooms. Snags and salads are provided for a gold coin donation.

Everyone is welcome, check out the details on the club website   http://www.serg.mountgambier.org/
