4 Metre News - AKD 4001 To resume production

According to their website, Garex are to resume production of the AKD 4001 70 MHz FM transceiver.

This set used to be a popular way to get on the band back in the 90's. Compared to modern 144/430 mobile rigs, it's very big and reminiscent of early 80's CB sets.

There are currently no dedicated 4 metre FM mobile rigs avaiable so the return of the AKD 4001 will certainly be welcomed.
