Tonight's Intecnet to explore the unknown

Both the SETI League and SETI Institute, assume that we are not something special in the universe. In fact, Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence will not make sense of a vested interest in anthropocentrism - the notion that we are alone in the universe/cosmos and the centre of the universe.

Until now, the search led to no decisive evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial technological civilizations.

Prof Alex Antonites argues the question whether we are nearer to confirmation after so many years or whether there is no hope of ever finding evidence and eventual contact.

Join him tonight, Sunday 21 May, when he explores the question: "are we alone?" on the SARL INTECNET at 20:00 CAT.

The President's Net precedes the discussion at 19:00. Join Graham Hartlett as he reviews the happenings in the SARL and reports back on the AGM and two RTA's.

Clubs are encouraged to link their repeaters to relay the two nets. Send an Email with the telephone number to be linked and details about the repeater to be used to armi@sarl.org.za before noon today.
