GB3RAL 70 Mhz amateur radio beacon approved

40 and 60 MHz being processed
The application for a GB3RAL 4 metre beacon on 70.050 MHz in Didcot Oxfordshire
was approved in April.
Applications have also been submitted for GB3RAL to operate on 40.050
and 60.050 MHz. If approved they will be the first Amateur Radio beacons
to operate in the 40 and 60 MHz region.
These parts of the spectrum have interesting propagation characteristics
and much useful research work can be done by Radio Amateurs if the licences
are approved.
