Another Intermediate success for CARS

The Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society (CARS) had another 100% pass rate with all 10 candidates passing the Intermediate exam held on May 15th. 

This is the 7th Intermediate exam in a row where all those who have completed the CARS course have passed, a record of success that reflects highly on the course tutors.

Key contributors to success have been the team/class ethos, CARS Slide sets, a structured set of practicals and a stretching mock exam. CARS is already prepared for the 2009 upgrade to the Intermediate syllabus and will be providing revised slides to support this.

For this exam the club received a visit from the RSGB Regional Manager Phillip Brooks G4NZQ who carried out a thorough inspection of the clubs exam process.
Such inspections are necessary to ensure the integrity of the Radio Communications exam system and inspectors have the power to void the results of an exam if they suspect any irregularity.

The club runs training courses every Thursday evening (except for August) at the Danbury Village Hall in Essex.
In addition to the Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced courses the club also offer a very popular Morse Code training course led by Andrew Kersey G0IBN. Including the tutors about 25 people now attend Danbury Village Hall every Thursday evening.
