CQ0DCH - New D-STAR repeater is operational in northeast of Portugal

Eduardo Gonçalves CT1DQV the President of ARAT- Associação de Radioamadores do Alto-Tâmega, has announced at Portuguese Internet mailing list, ARLA / CLUSTER, that a new D-STAR repeater is operational in Serra do Leiranco, 1146 metres above sea level. This site is located between Chaves and Boticas, in northeast of Portugal.

This Local Ham Radio Association have join efforts with NAUCOM (Icom's delegate company for Portugal ), and thanks to ICP-ANACOM - (the equivalent to FCC in Portugal ) conformity, the project have become achievable.

With such partnership it was possible to engage this new technology in Portugal.
