Article on new Russian Amateur Radio Satellite

An article on the new Russian Amateur radio satellite Yubileiny (RS-30) is available on the web.

The article on Yubileiny appeared in the February 2008 issue (No 3) of the OAO journal "ISS" and contained some very good pictures of the satellite.

It appears the satellite has a store and forward system
(2 metres input, 70cm output). As well as voice and data the satellite also supports Slow Scan TV (SSTV).

The satellites CW beacons have been widely reported on 435.315 MHz and 435.215 MHz (+/- doppler)

The article can be seen it English at http://www.npopm.com/images/File/magazin/2008/m3-screen_en.pdf

or in Russian at

Details of the primary payloads on the May 23rd launch can be seen at http://www.gonets.ru/english.htm
