RACES field day

San Jose Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service is a group of volunteer radio amateurs sanctioned by the City of San Jose to provide emergency communication support.

Amateur operators around the United States and Canada will participate in a field day activity from 11 am June 28 to 11 am June 29 at Noble Park, located at 3321 Noble Avenue in San Jose.

San Jose RACES will set up portable equipment and emergency power sources to contact other North American RACES under simulated emergency conditions.

The public is welcome to come by, learn about emergency preparedness and communications, and even get on the air to make contact over the radio with other groups across the country.
