Amateur Radio Special Event Station K9BSA

On Saturday May 10, 2008, the Wheaton Community Radio Amateurs (WCRA) of Wheaton, Illinois U.S.A. will be hosting a special event amateur radio station for scouts and visitors attending the Scout-O-Rama (SOR) of the Three Fires Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

5000 scouts (ranging 6 yrs to 18 yrs in age), leaders and visitors are expected to visit the 120 demonstrations of scouting activities through the last century .

The theme is "A Century of Service". The WCRA will host an interactive multi-transceiver radio station where scouts can get on the air with scouts worldwide. Radio Merit Badge will
also be offered.
