VK lights set for annual event

The registrations for the International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend are still rolling in and now include 22 Australian lighthouses out of a current total of 150 worldwide.

On a state-by-state basis, VK3 is leading with seven registrations, VK2 is close behind on six, there are three each in VK4 and VK7, two in VK6 and one for VK5.

This fun event on the 16th and 17th of August is organised the Ayr Amateur Radio Group of Scotland in the memory of the event’s founder, Mike Dalrymple GM4SUC, silent key.

There are still plenty of lighthouses left.
