Success for Amateur Radio Military Appreciation DayARMAD 2009 is now history. We had a very good event nationwide this year. Several new groups joined us, and some of the groups from past ARMAD events held larger demonstrations. All of us can be proud of having provided a wonderful public service, and we also promoted our hobby in a very unique way. We can continue to make a difference if we keep spreading the word about this event, and the other related ARMAD events that we do in the future. Feel free to write an artice about your ARMAD experience, and tell us how things went at your location. I want to thank eveyone for a job well done in 2009. We made a difference in someone's life today. Many of our contacts expressed thanks in what we were doing over Amateur Radio. If you have any ideas to help improve ARMAD please let us know. We want to continue demonstrating to the public what we are doing for our communites. Many civilian and military groups asked about teaming up with Amateur Radio in the future for these type of events. Working with them has the potential to recruit new Ham's. Look for Military Support Groups, reddiness teams, and military and veterans organizations in your communities to work with. Let your local media know what you are doing to support our Troops, and Veterans. They like these stories. Once again, Thanks and I hope you had a very special Memorial Day weekend. Visit the ARMAD website at www.armad.net and spread the word to others.
