D-Day Amateur Radio Special Event Stations

65th anniversary of the Landing in Normandy
June 6th 1944 – June 6th 2009

For the 65th anniversary of the landing in Normandy,  individual or amateur radio club initiatives will remember this event.

First information came at F5NQL’s  (Thanks, Michel, F6IPS, ARRL, Jean-Michel, F6AJA and Jean-Yves, F8LDX):

SAINTE MERE EGLISE :
As each year, Michel, F6IPS, will be active as TM6SME, from Edemonville, a close village of  Sainte Mère l’Eglise.
HF, and maybe 144MHz,  CW & SSB – Locator IN99HK –
Dates : from June 5 to 14.

Most activity will happen from June 5 to 7, with two operators - F5MSB will join Michel. Contacts with TM6SME on two bands or two modes is worth a special award to be claimed to Michel F6IPS (CBA), with a large SAE and postage envelope. The cost of the award is as your choice in IRC, but not least than 2.
