Changes proposed for European 27 MHz CB SSB/AM

The European Citizens Band Federation (ECBF) website reports that the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) are considering changing the European CB Standard for 27 MHz SSB and AM operation.

The website says that the proposed changes involve the increase of AM power level from 1W to 4W and for SSB from 4W PEP to 12W PEP output.

Further details at the European Citizens Band Federation (ECBF): http://ecbf.eu/

The current ETSI standard for 27 MHz SSB/AM is contained in ETSI EN 300 433-1 V1.1.3 (2000-12) and ETSI EN 300 433-2 V1.1.2 (2000-12)
