Dayton Hamvention activities

"Wings" from Quaker Steak and Lube! And pizza too!

Third Night - Hosted by The Mad River Radio Club (MRRC), Frankford Radio Club (FRC) and North Coast Contesters (NCC) with a 11:00 PM Pizza Party sponsored by the Potomac Valley Radio Club (PVRC).

Fourth Night - Hosted by The Mad River Radio Club (MRRC), Frankford Radio Club (FRC) and North Coast Contesters (NCC) with a 11:00 PM Pizza Party sponsored by the Yankee Clipper Contest Club (YCCC).

DX HOSPITALITY SUITE. The Northern Ohio DX Association (along with Janeen Hire, W8ZET) will once again sponsor a Hospitality Suite at this year's Dayton Hamvention. It will be in Suite 1011 on the 10th Club Floor of the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (Look for signs!). All DXers/Contesters are welcome. Munchies
and refreshments will be available. Come and meet the members and friends of NODXA.

The 24th annual SWODXA DX Dinner will be Friday evening, May 15th, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located in Dayton City Center. Their speakers will be John Stanley K4ERO, and Ruth Stanley WB4LUA. This husband and wife team travel the globe installing, maintaining and training personnel for religious international shortwave stations.
They have been to over 60 DXCC entities and operated from more than 12 of them. John has written many technical articles in the ham journals (with one in the April 2009 issue of QST), is a recipient of the 2007 Doug DeMaw Technical Excellence Award and is an ARRL Technical Advisor, having contributed many pieces to the ARRL Handbook.

Topband Dinner on Friday evening, May 15th, at the Barnsider Restaurant, (Near Hamvention Arena), 5202 N. Main Street (Route 48 just north of Needmore Ave), Dayton, Ohio.

The Contest Dinner will be held on Saturday night, May 16th, at 6:30 PM, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (Official Contest Hotel), 5th and Jefferson Streets (Next to the Convention Center), Dayton (Downtown),
