IC-7800 firmware update Rev. 2.20 now available

There is a new firmware update (Rev. 2.20) for the IC-7800 on the English homepage of the Icom Inc. website.

The firmware update will provide the following improvements:

• Improved transmit function in sending transmit memory contents in operation in the RTTY/PSK mode (using an external keypad)

• Improvement in sending voice memory in SSB mode and CW memory keyer contents in the CW mode (using external USB keyboard)

• Programmable custom band-edge frequencies.
  User hears a beep when tuning out of, or into the programmed Amateur Radio band. An operator can now limit transmitting outside the programmed frequency band.
