Second man to receive death penalty for ham radio couple's killing

John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 43, of Long Beach, California, is scheduled to be formally sentenced to the death penalty following a conviction for two counts of special circumstances murder in the murder-for-profit killings of Thomas and Jackie Hawks, KD7VWJ and KD7VWK in Newport Beach.

The sentence is expected to be delivered at 9am today, Friday, May 1st, in the court in Santa Ana, California.

In April, Skylar Deleon was also sentenced to death for his part in the couple's murder.
