Seeking willing Hams or Groups near to Worcester,
New York, USA!

Worcester Radio Amateurs Association has been contacted by a local Scout Group in Worcester England and they asked if we would assist with an idea.

The group in question is the 1st Worcester Scout Group, and they have been in contact with Troop 168 based in Worcester New York USA, thus an idea was spawned - why not use Amateur Radio to make contact with each other, like a mini Jamboree on the Air if you like.

Everything seemed simple at the beginning, but it appears that isn’t always the case.

The 'Ham' team in Worcester UK is all set up and ready to go, the only problem is we have no one on the receiving end in Worcester NY!   So we are seeking helpful Amateur Radio Groups, or individuals who can look after things at the NY end.

If you are able to help, then please drop me a line so that we can arrange things and get this “Ham Radio Twinning” idea off the ground. We know that there will be someone out there willing to assist, and I am sure that the true spirit of Ham Radio will prevail.
