1922 Portable Wireless PhoneA classic British Pathe silent movie from 1922 shows what must be the first portable wireless phone. The movie called 'Eve's Wireless' apparently shows a forerunner of todays cell-phone. While one may wonder if Eve's portable phone actually worked, it does show how people were thinking in those times. It was to be over half a century later before the idea became reality. It can be seen on the British Pathe website at 1979 Development of Mobile Phone by Chelmsford Radio Amateurs
