GB1RBP RAF Bentley Priory

On Saturday May 22 the Radio Society of Harrow will be operating GB1RBP from Bentley Priory former Fighter Command for the Battle of Britain during WW2.

St. Luke’s Hospice is holding a 1940s fund-raising event at Bentley Priory and has invited the Radio Society of Harrow to demonstrate HF/VHF/UHF and Morse code communication.

They will have some vintage WW2 radio equipment working to enhance the event. The special event call-sign will be GB1RBP for Royal Air force Bentley Priory and operation will take place on HF and 2/70.

St Luke’s Hospice is holding this 1940s fund-raising event in association with the Bentley Priory Battle of Britain Trust. There will be afternoon teas, a Spitfire display, military, brass and steel pan bands, guided tours of the Priory (must be pre-booked, minimum donation £2), dance, drill and re-enactment displays, art exhibition, children's workshops and activities.

Open 11:00 to 16:00; tickets £3.50, children free.
