10 year-old demonstrates Amateur Radio satellites

The Oneonta Daily Star describes how 10 year old Adam Agoglia KC2WWC demonstrated the capabilities of the Amateur Radio satellites to fellow pupils.

He showed fifth-graders at Greater Plains Elementary School in Oneonta a contact via an Amateur Satellite using his hand held radio.

Adam described how amateur radios work and explained that amateur radio can be used for experimenting or, if needed, emergency communications.

"Part of the fun is sending out a call not knowing who will respond or the other user's location", he said.
