New Irish packet DXCluster Node

A new experimental packet DXCluster Node (EI7SDX-3 DDX)
and NETROM Node (EI7SDX-5 SWDUDX) has been established in the Dublin mountains at Piperstown at the QTH of EI7HT. User access is on 144.950 MHz.

The Piperstown nodes are expected to provide 2m radio coverage in west County Dublin and the Midlands and will complement the 2m coverage provided in central and eastern Ireland by EI7KRC-2 (Kells) on 144.825 MHz, EI7SDX (Shankill) on 144.875 MHz and EI7WDX (Bray) on 144.925 MHz.

Tom EI7HT and Dave EI3IO would appreciate reception reports of the Piperstown 2m signals to E-mail
shandx@connogue.com.

EI7SDX (Shankill) and EI7WDX (Bray) also provide 1200
Baud user access to the Irish and global packet network on 29.25 MHz, 432.650 MHz and 433.675 MHz. Internet access is also available using the addresses:

telnet://ei7sdx.ath.cx:7300 or
telnet://ei7wdx.ath.cx:7300 for the DXCluster and
telnet://ei7sdx.ath.cx:7400 or
telnet://ei7wdx.ath.cx:7400 for NETROM access.

To give Internet access a try, just place any of the above Internet addresses in your favourite web browser and access should be instantaneous. However for NETROM Internet access you will also need a password from the Sysop.

APRS packets are also broadcast in South County Dublin and Wicklow on the 10m, 2m and 70cm frequencies and relevant APRS traffic is gated to and from the Internet.
