Radio Amateur of the Year Awards
recipients announced

The Trustees of the South African Amateur Radio Development Trust met this week to review the nominations for the Siemens Radio Amateur of the Year Awards.

After careful consideration and a lengthy discussion the Young Radio Amateur of the Year Award will be bestowed on Edrich De Lange, ZR5TUX, of Westville in KwaZulu-Natal. The Radio Amateur of the Year Award goes to Andrew Roos, ZS1AN, of Cape Town.

The awards will be presented at a Gala function in Johannesburg on 8 December 2004.

Tickets to attend the breakfast function are R150 and can be ordered on the SA Amateur Radio Development Trust web pages at www.amateurradio.org.za. 50% of the ticket price will be contributed to the SARL IARU fund.
