Amateur Radio's Virtual Pub

The Virtual Pub is a net which happens every Friday at 8PM
Sydney time.

The original idea was to get together and have a chat, much like one would down the pub on a Friday after work.

However, there was always room to incorporate different things, such as the "500 Mile High Club" which ran from time to time.

The 500 Mile High Club is when net participants have a go at working one of the LEO satellites. So named, because most of them are 500 mile above Earth.

The last 500 Mile High Club occurred the week when AO-51 was commissioned. They're not scheduled - it just happens when enough get the satellite bug.
