Times of change for the
Wireless Institute of Australia

Jim Mclachlan, President of the South Australian and Northern Territory Division has told us that as we move to a National WIA, he has received comments and questions about our past and how we came into existence.

I strongly suggest you visit the National Web Site at www.wia.org.au and read some of our past, recently put on display using the WWW.

You'll read text from the South Australia and Northern Territory Divisional archives and copy from a magazine called Land Sea and Air which was printed in 1919.

A letter also dated 1919 and from the Wireless Institute of NSW, encouraging the fledgling South Australian organisation to use the name and Wireless Institute and offering assistance as needed.

A brief history on all states is included.
