Australian Foundation Power Point
Slides
A set of Power Point Slides for the Australian Foundation licence
have been produced by Peter Kutas VK2UPK of the Westlakes Amateur
Radio Club Inc.
They can now be downloaded from the web at
www.westlakesarc.org.au/
M5AKA Trevor pointed out that Peter has made use of the UK Foundation
slides produced by the Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society which are
available at:
www.g0mwt.org.uk/training/
WIA Director Glenn Dunstan also points out that on the WIA web
you will find "some good stuff from Fred".
Fred Swainston, VK3DAC has produced a comprehensive 120 plus page
PDF (powerpoint) presentation. The presentation is intended to be
used in conjunction with the Foundation Licence Training Manual,
which was released for sale on November 9.
Fred's company, Trainsafe is the registered training organization
(RTO) that is providing assessor training for the WIA's accredited
assessors.
The presentation was successfully used for Foundation Licence
training at Amateur Radio House, in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta
last weekend, November 12 and 13. The use of the presentation in
conjunction with the manual simplifies and standardises the training
for the Foundation Licence Australia wide.
The WIA will also release shortly a full set of transparencies
to allow those clubs who do not have access to a computer and projector
to use the presentation.
Fred and the WIA has made this presentation available as a free
download and a copy of the PDF presentation can be found on the
education pages on wia.org.au
The presentation can be viewed full screen using Adobe Acrobat.
To do this, from Acrobats "Window" menu simply select
"full screen" or alternately use the shortcut keys ctrl+L
