XI-V CubeSat takes first image of the Earth

The XI-V CubeSat which was released from SSETI Express on 27th October, has taken it's first experimental picture of the earth over the Amazon, see http://www.ne.jp/asahi/hamradio/je9pel/xivpict1.htm

A CubeSat is one of the smallest satellites you can get, just a 10 cm cube. It's an amazing acheivement to be able to pack the camera, 437.345 MHz transmitter and all the control hardware into such a tiny space.
