From Ham Radio to Galileo
A repeat transmission of the ESA TV of the programme
'From Ham Radio to Galileo' will take place on 26
November 11:30-11:45 GMT
Background information on the transmission:
Giove, the first Galileo satellite, was developed by Surrey Satellite
Systems (SSTL), a British space company specialising in micro-and
mini satellites.
Giove is SSL's first 'big' mission. The programme outlines how
this company, originally a university spin-off, has become over
15 years, a player in Europe's space industry with which one has
to count.
The images were recently recorded at SSTL and include soundbites
with the Chairman, Martin Sweeting, and with Giove project members.
