Leo Meyerson asks FCC to deny K1MAN renewal

Leo Meyerson has asked the FCC to deny ex- K1MAN's amateur radio license renewal.

Meyerson, a world-renonwned radio pioneer and founder of both WRL and Galaxy Electronics, is said to be incensed that Glenn Baxter is using his name and likeness to promote his businesses without Meyerson's support or authorisation.

Myerson's letter reads, in part:

"I understand the FCC has issued a fine in the amount of $21,000 against Mr. Baxter's amateur station. Based on my personal understanding of the issues involved and the findings in the NAL, I support the Commission and I urge the FCC to deny the renewal of Glenn Baxter's amateur radio license."
