Radio Amateur Examination

The South African Amateur Radio RAE will be held at 14 different venues this coming Thursday, 17 November, for 58 candidates. The South African Radio League wishes all the candidates well for the exam.

Candidates are reminded of the following:

1. Each candidate must bring his/her exam number along.
2. Each candidate must bring a completed application form for a license.
3. Proof of identity will be required.
4. Non-programmable pocket calculators will be allowed.
5. Questionnaires must be completed in ink.
6. It is recommended that you be at the examination location by 18:30.

It is also a requirement of the radio regulations that each candidate be in possession of a HF-operators certificate before a license will be issued.

If candidates have not received an application form for a license, it can be obtained by down-loading it from the web page of the SARL at http://www.sarl.org.za/public/forms.asp.

The required form for the HF-certificate can also be obtained from the above mentioned web page.

The SARL wishes to thank all the invigilators at the various centres who are willingly helping with the exam.
