ATV Club Meeting – Special Guest GB3BH Meeting at 7:30pm onwards 12th
December 2006 at It is with great pleasure I have persuaded KG6TTD (aka G6TTD) Rod Hewitt to fly over from Maryland USA to join us for our XMAS Meeting. He will be giving us a chat on his TV activities for http://www.archive.org/. I have known Rod for many years and he, like us, has always had a keen interest in Television, both amateur and professional. He is a computer programmer by trade and is the author of TSReader (a very clever digital TV transport stream reader that I demonstrated to the club a few months back). His chat will explain what he uses the dozen or so satellite dishes in his back garden for, and how that will be used by http://www.archive.org/. I am sure you will find what he does most interesting and like I was, stunned by the amount of television programs he has recorded… This month I have requested the pub not supply the usual food but to provide seasonal fair by way of mince pies, etc. The meeting will also tell you news of our 10 GHz Repeater which is now on the air, and news from our members experiences of receiving it. Also 13cms TV receive for the first time – well done Nigel and Ralph!
