ARRL's
successful 'Hello' campaign drawing to a close
Hello – celebrating one of the nicest
words in any language – is about to come to a close. The campaign
to present a friendly image of Amateur Radio to non-hams has proved to
have been extremely successful.
In what will be the climax of the campaign, a major operating event is
planned for December 29-30, involving not only the US but also Scottish
and other European stations in the celebration of 100 years of voices
over the air. More details of the event are at: www.hello-radio.org/event
The list of stations and organisations world-wide wishing to participate
in this event is growing rapidly. If your group would like to participate,
please send your station(s) callsign, location, and a list of which voice
modes you will be using to: hello@arrl.org
Special Hello centennial QSL cards are being created just for this event
with the Hello logo and keystone stations depicted.
Details are being updated almost daily at www.hello-radio.org/event
Look for a major article coming out in the December issue of QST.
